Job description:

Our team is growing and we are actively looking to hire a Cyber Metrics & Reporting Specialist to join our team!

Accountabilities:

  • Work with security specialists to understand existing security data and then create visually compelling and accurate security reports and dashboards to support Information Security and Risk Metrics, historical data trend analysis, and identification of opportunities to drive continuous process improvement
  • Collaborate with Allstate IT, InfoSec and cross functional teams to obtain necessary data inputs and process data to feed metrics models and reporting outputs
  • Develop report templates and fit relevant security metrics data into the templates
  • Use Power BI to contextualize information in a manner suitable to executive audiences
  • Identify key metrics measurements and develop methods to represent data in support of the measurements
  • Cultivate an understanding of security concepts to assist in identifying ongoing information, measurement and reporting needs
  • Work with internal clients and other team members to understand and define reporting requirements
  • Provide guidance and insight on data visualization and reporting/dishoarding best practices
  • Document reporting requirements and define report templates and dashboard specifications
  • Establish, maintain and ensure adherence to application standards for data reporting
  • Manage Data Extract Schedules and Access to Reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, Business Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Requires 5+ years of related experience in reporting and metrics design and development.
  • Data security risk management and mitigation processes and governance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001/2, NIST, COBIT, etc.).
  • IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) principles, standards, and best practices (e.g. risk management, governance, information security controls, etc.).
  • Threat and attack landscape, vectors, vulnerabilities, and how they are leveraged by malicious actors.
  • Data visualization tools to prepare flow charts, models, and other documentation used in leadership decision-making (e.g. Visio and Power BI).
  • Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Project coordination, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with attention to detail.

Bonus qualification:

  • Certified Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), CRISC, or any relevant certification
