As a Senior Financial Analyst. you will be providing support for the Planning & Analysis function and will be a Finance Business Partner to key budget owners in the organization. The Senior Financial Analyst provides decision support through the use of management & financial reporting, financial modeling, and problem-solving support to help optimize technology budgets and investments, and drive cost efficiencies. This role works directly with all areas of the IT department including – Project & Portfolio Management, Engineering, Infrastructure, Computing & Client Services and others, to help plan, budget and analyze monthly & annual monthly IT spending, develop a quarterly rolling forecast process including 3 year plan, identify appropriate metrics of Technology spend, support development of a costing framework for allocations and define project’s Financial framework and reporting to
improve project governance and benefit assessments.

Accountabilities:

• Lead IT Senior Leadership teams in the preparation and presentation of annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes ensuring effective challenge function, soundness and data integrity in inputs and assumptions.
• Responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly and annual management reports with analysis of actual results versus budget/forecast/target for IT Senior Management Product & service areas, the IT CIO, ACG CFO team and US Headquarters for standard and ad-hoc requests as required.
• Responsible for new projects/program business casing for new projects/program by creating financial models to determine feasibility of projects (metrics include Net Present Value (NPV) calculations) including challenging assumptions & data
• Supporting Manager & Lead IT Expense with ensuring sound understanding of forecast and budget submission figures and work with business partners to develop forecasts & budget, including multi-year rolling forecasts.
• Preparing, reviewing, and communicating project financial results to senior management and key stakeholders
• Meet with budget owners monthly to review results, explain variances against budget &/or forecasts and advise business owner on options to get financials on track to budget, help identify risks and costs savings opportunities
• Define, develop and manage the IT rate costing framework, and the cost allocation methodology and practice, to support estimation, business case requirements, and cost recoveries.
• Work with PMO team to update project forecasts on a monthly basis and assist in the creation and updating of standardized monthly project reporting to be used for presentations to the Senior management and distributed PMO/ PMs
• Analyze information and develop reports and identify automation opportunities to drive the business to improve performance and reporting models and practices.
• Leads the preparation of end user reference materials, prepares end-user training materials to promote financial maturity and ensures corporate guidelines/policies are followed.
• Audits the quality of reports submitted by analysts and provides related coaching and support.
• Review and support internal and external audit requests and gathers financial and qualitative information to perform due diligence and validation

Qualifications:

• University degree in Business or Finance
• Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA) and/or MBA
• Minimum of 5 -7 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial planning, analysis and management /financial reporting with at least 3 years of technology reporting in financial services or similar industry types.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills; ability to create story behind numbers and ability to interact with all levels of the organization, including C-level executives
• Team player, customer -centric, positive attitude and, ability to develop strong working relationships with related team members, business partners
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills, with excellent attention to detail and proficient analytical skills
• Strategic thinker that can think outside the box, focused on efficiency and improving existing processes and implementing processes to support stakeholder core areas
• Understands complete Software Development Life Cycle and can apply the applicable portions of the ‘Feasibility,’ ‘Requirements,” and ‘Analysis’ phases.
• Experience in SAP and other enterprise accounting software is an asset
• Ability to produce clear reports and presentations, including strong working knowledge of PowerPoint
