The Opportunity
Alstar Oilfield Contractors is currently looking for a Materials Coordinator to join the team at our SE Calgary facility (8700 Venture Ave SE; not transit accessible). Both weekday and weekend day shifts.
- Unload inbound freight carriers and ensures accurate counts and product identification and locating of product in storage location
- Examine articles for defects, dirt, and other detriments according to company policies
- Check material received against provided packing slip supplied by vendor
- Track materials being received
- Perform kitting & job preparations
- Daily updates of Google Sheets inventory tracking

Requirements
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience with structural steel
- Current and valid counterbalance Forklift Certification is an asset
- Forklift experience
- CSTS-09/2020 or Energy Safety Canada Common Safety Orientation (CSO) ticket, or willingness to obtain
- Warehouse knowledge and experience, including handling organizing and storing of client materials
- Excellent understanding of warehousing industry/principles is an asset
- Strong attention to details and planning skills
- Must be well organized and capable of maintaining daily records and logs
- Adaptability to the high production environment
- Team player and capable working individually when required
- Ability to follow the standard procedures as well as bring new ideas to the table
Working Conditions
- Working in a large manufacturing facility with other trades present
- Outside/inside work
- Lifting up to 60lbs, work at heights, be agile and able to go on/off equipment, up/down ladder
