We are currently recruiting a skilled Finance Manager to oversee the finance department at Alta Care Resources.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing, controlling, planning, and organizing the processes in the finance department. Primary duties include organizing and planning financial audits, evaluating reporting systems in place and developing new ones, and creating and implementing financial procedures.
In addition to managing the company’s financial information, they will also manage a team of employees. The Finance Manager will be responsible to hire, train, and oversee the finance team’s day to day performance. The Finance Manger’s primary objective is to convey critical information pertaining to the company’s financial position to executive leadership while translating organizational direction to the team they manage. Furthermore, they will use strong communication skills to work cross-functionally with finance and HR to establish accounting priorities, advise on financial decisions, and set strategic corporate goals.
As a Finance Manager, you will be self-directed and progressive and diverse experience in accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead, develop and support the finance team.
· Assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs
· Conduct monthly supervisions and annual performance evaluations of direct reports.
· Develop and implement policies and procedures for the finance department.
· Monitor internal controls to ensure internal policy, regulatory, and tax compliance.
· Adjust protocols or policies to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
· Verify systems and processes in place and make changes whenever necessary.
· Manage, direct, and control daily financial processes.
· Manage investment strategies.
· Oversee the collection and analysis of financial data and company payroll.
· Oversee the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports provided to Directors, Managers and government
· Provide strategic analysis as required to drive improved decision making and efficiency.
· Oversee IT needs and contracts (vehicles, office equipment, leases, etc.)

Desired Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related discipline
· Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience
· In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, applications and regulations.
· Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning.
· Experience managing vendor relationships, including but not limited to independent service providers and Information Technology contractors.
· Experience in government programs.
· Experience with nonprofit financials.
· Experience and knowledge working with government grants and contributions.
· Knowledge of budget preparation and analysis techniques.
· Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Excel and QuickBooks.
