Reporting to the President and the CEO, the incumbent is responsible for partnerships and support to the company’s democratic bodies. He or she also supports the President in his representative functions. This person contributes to the relations that must be maintained with government authorities and advises the President on political orientations and issues incumbent upon him.
Responsibilities
• Ensure the maintenance of the president’s relations and communications between the company, medical associations, various representatives of the health network and government (regional and Quebec) and other organizations;
• Plan and monitor the President’s activities and travel;
• Plan, prepare and manage the Board of Directors and its committees, the Assembly of Delegates, the Presidents’ Committee;
• Write draft speeches or public positions of the company;
• Conduct, on behalf of the President or the CEO, the follow-up of government relations and relations with partners and stakeholders;
• Assist the President in the management of issues and crises;
• Ensure the optimization of the activities of the Office of the President.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in administration/ law/ communication or equivalent training;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position;
• In-depth knowledge of the Quebec government, the political environment and the health network;
• Fluency in French and good knowledge of English (oral and written);
• Mastery of Microsoft Office 365 software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.);
• Occasional availability outside regular hours and for travel in Quebec
