Altis Recruitment Looking for Accounts Receivable Specialist at Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Our client, in the automotive industry is seeking a stellar candidate to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers flexible work hours (within business core hours, a great benefits package, and a hybrid working model)

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Manage full cycle accounts receivables, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
2. Process billing for dealers, maintaining accurate records of transactions.
3. Prepare AR invoices for Commercial Fleet and Dealer demo sales, adhering to company policies and procedures.
4. Complete system cash application and conduct weekly reviews of auction sales to guarantee precise fund transmission and auction data.
5. Perform AR reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
6. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.
7. Provide support for both internal and external audits, including gathering necessary documentation and assisting auditors as required.
8. Act as a backup for Accounts Payable when needed, assisting with invoice processing and payment disbursement.
9. Assist the Fleet department with any related tasks or projects as required.
10. Support Bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of financial transactions.
11. Prepare monthly statements to customers, providing clear and concise information regarding their account status.
12. Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure prompt collection of past due balances.
13. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in accounting
• Strong written and verbal communication
