Our client is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to join their team on a full-time permanent basis in the GTA (hybrid or remote). In this role, you will be responsible for handling the execution of all marketing campaigns ( ie: email and social campaigns), monitoring their effectiveness and reporting on their results. You will work with leaders and marketing team members to co-develop digital marketing campaigns

The successful candidate will liaise with managers on various campaigns and generate ideas for campaigns that support the growth of the organization. You will also have experience managing the delivery of complex, multi-stage marketing campaigns across a variety of digital channels, with a particular focus on organic content promotion, email marketing and paid advertising.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Act as a project manager for all marketing-related initiatives, triaging, assessing and prioritizing all marketing requests, and developing workback schedules to ensure projects and campaigns are on schedule
  • Work with members of the marketing team to bring new ideas and out-of-the-box approaches to the table, particularly related to new digital marketing techniques, with the goal of raising brand awareness and achieving growth targets
  • Help develop and maintain both brand (awareness and image-building campaigns) and growth (SEO, landing page optimizations, traffic/user acquisition, etc.) strategies, in collaboration with the marketing team
  • Drive marketing initiatives across all key program areas, including website, email, social media (organic and paid), paid search, etc., using data to assess their effectiveness and adjust as necessary
  • Posting and monitoring of social media channels (ie: Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram etc)
  • Publish and manage content on the website when required
  • Generate new ideas for targeted audiences (i.e., through email marketing, social media, events, etc.)
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to help achieve growth targets
  • Use and present marketing data to identify critical issues and trends and suggest creative ways of improving performance

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience developing and executing the successful delivery of digital marketing initiatives
  • Must have digital marketing experience in a for-profit or sales-driven environment
  • Previous experience working in a digital project management capacity on a marketing team
  • Degree/Diploma certificate in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Experience using social media platforms (ie: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) to promote content, organically and paid, ensuring maximum engagement with target audiences (i.e., lead generation and brand awareness)
  • Experience using a CRM system to develop and execute email marketing initiatives tailored to very specific audiences
  • Experience determining the best metrics to measure for each platform/initiative, analyzing data and drawing actionable insights. Data can include sales trends, web traffic, social media engagement, email metrics, competitive insights, etc.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think independently, and develop thoughtful recommendations and action plans
  • Extensive digital marketing experience (social media, email marketing, content marketing)
  • Experience in a service-driven industry preferred
  • Experience with Active Campaign platforms or other email management platform s preferred
  • CMS platform experience preferred
  • SEO and SEM experience preferred
