Altis Recruitment Looking for Finance Manager at Toronto, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Reporting to the Director and collaborating closely with Business clients, Technology Service groups, and other stakeholders, the Manager is responsible for providing a comprehensive understanding of MS Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, encompassing both user and technical aspects. This role focuses on achieving business process goals using the application and involves applying exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills throughout the Solution Delivery Life Cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the ongoing support and enhancements of MS Dynamics 365 for Operations, including business requirements definition, end user access, and configuration.
• Ensure timely and high-quality support for end users by documenting application support procedures for Tier 1 and 2 support groups.
• Provide Tier 3 support to address complex issues.
• Participate actively in all Solution Delivery Life Cycle phases, including planning, requirements definition, solution design, test execution, and application implementation.
• Collaborate with Program Director and Service Delivery Managers to analyze and validate project stakeholder business needs.
• Create project-related documentation, such as design specifications, application test plans, test cases and scripts, end-user guides, and system admin guides.
• Perform impact analysis of changes to applications or technology platforms.
• Manage small to medium-sized solutions, which includes minor enhancements, reports development, and operational support of MS Dynamics 365 for finance and operations.
• Collaborate closely with Applications Support, Service Delivery, and other Application Management teams to ensure appropriate support for business systems and system implementations.
• Contribute to the technology roadmap for selected business applications and systems.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Information Technology.
• Process engineering (Black belt) certification is an asset.
• Strong understanding of Global Corporate Finance and large scale Finance ERP systems.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and various financial processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent aptitude for numbers, problem-solving, and data analytics.
• Over 5 years of Finance operations experience, with a specific interest in Technology, particularly in ERP or GL applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS, Dynamics).
• Experience in the Solution Development Life Cycle, including designing functional/technical specifications, test scripts, system administration, and support documentation.
• Familiarity with accounting guidelines and principles.
• Proficient in gathering and analyzing business requirements, and ability to read and write user documentation and strategic technology documents.
• Breadth of experience in using and applying subledger and related systems to meet business financial needs.
• Deep understanding of the intersection between business and technology to effectively resolve complex financial challenges related to integration and reporting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in product evaluations, product selection, integrating infrastructure components, and developing reusable application services across a suite of applications.
• Proficiency in developing SQL queries, extracting data from databases, and understanding complex database schemas and objects.
• Experience in working within a tiered service delivery framework (e.g., Tier 1, Tier 2, and n-Tier support levels) environment.
