Roles and Responsibilities

• Establish, uphold, and regulate quality control standards at the construction site.
• Detect and escalate potential issues promptly to the Construction Manager.
• Suggest corrective measures as needed to maintain project schedule and quality.
• Ensure that all personnel and contractors maintain a safe working environment in accordance with company policies.
• Coordinate activities between tradespeople and suppliers.
• Ensure thorough documentation and implementation of all changes.
• Ensure timely submission of reports to the Head Office.
• Regularly provide schedule updates to the Construction Manager.
• Conduct inspections throughout all construction phases to ensure compliance with clients’ specifications and the Ontario Building Code.
• Maintain a daily construction journal.
• Participate in pre-delivery inspections (PDI’s) with purchasers and ensure prompt resolution of identified deficiencies.
• Gain familiarity with the blueprints to anticipate problems and minimize the impact on schedule and finances.
• Document the construction process and keep all relevant parties informed about important matters.
• Generate deficiency lists and follow up with tradespeople to ensure adherence to high-quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Over 5 years of experience in a Site Superintendent role specializing in high-volume low-rise residential construction. 
• Post-secondary diploma/degree in Construction or related discipline is an asset. 
• Comprehensive understanding of the Ontario Building Code and exceptional focus on precision
• Proven ability to solve problems, handle multiple tasks, and effectively organize and prioritize to meet demands and expectations.
• Track record of successful leadership and management of both personnel and construction sites.
• Self-motivated individual who excels in a fast-paced team environment and possesses a strong drive to complete tasks as efficiently and as safely as possible.
