Our client in the distribution industry is seeking a Vice President of Sales to join their team in Toronto. The Vice President of Sales to spearhead our sales efforts and build out the sales business model.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets and expand market share within the business unit.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Nurture relationships with key customers and stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities and nurturing long-term partnerships.
• Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales efforts with product offerings and market trends.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
• Establish and monitor sales metrics and revenue goals to drive accountability and track performance.
• Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Keep a pulse on competitor activity and industry trends to identify potential threats and opportunities for differentiation.
• Represent Metro Wallcoverings at industry events and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
• Manage and optimize the organization’s CRM tool to support business growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and building high-performing teams.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business growth and innovation.
• Knowledge of the wallcoverings industry or related industries is a plus.
