Altis Technology Looking for Healthcare Business Analyst at Greater Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo Metropolitan Area Full Time

Our leading healthcare client is working on a bid for a Business Analyst specializing in healthcare informatics. This project would be a 4 year contract with possibility for an additional 12 month extension. If successful, this role would start in March 2024.

This vital role involves steering a range of project initiatives in the healthcare sector, playing a pivotal part in the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will foster strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners, ensuring seamless project execution. This includes crafting thorough documentation, eliciting project requirements, implementing robust test plans, and maintaining transparent communication with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead workshops with various stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and vendors, to define and document comprehensive workflows for diverse projects.
• Conduct in-depth requirements gathering through interviews, surveys, workflow analysis, and data analysis.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure both functional and non-functional requirements are meticulously documented and aligned with existing systems.
• Develop and manage critical project documents, such as requirements specifications, test strategies, and test cases.
• Prepare and present materials for meetings, focusing on the collection of essential project requirements.
• Plan and execute testing phases with developers, vendors, and end-users, identifying and resolving project-related issues.
• Monitor project risks and contribute to the troubleshooting of live system issues.
• Actively participate in project implementation phases, documenting and presenting findings post-launch.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting or in a health informatics analyst role.
• In-depth knowledge of digital health technologies and the healthcare landscape in Canada, gained through work with digital health organizations.
• Prior involvement with integrated care systems, such as primary care networks or Ontario Health Teams (OHTs).
• Background in the Hospital Sector.
• Proven experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Case Management Systems (CMS), and/or Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
• Skilled in gathering both functional and non-functional requirements and proficient in workflow mapping.
• Experience in report preparation and data quality validation.
• Exceptional ability to evaluate and communicate complex information effectively.
• Strong coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
