Wood has an exciting opportunity for a Process Technical Integrity Engineer for the Bay du Nord Project’s Development Phase. This project has an anticipated start date in June 2023 for a 2 year term. This role will be located in St. John’s for its home office with travel to international sites as required.
In this role you will be:
Responsible for technical integrity input and assurance activities for all process and utility systems (domain) during the project development phase such as:
Risk review participation (i.e., HAZID, HAZOP, MOC, SIL, LOPA);
Develop Safety Environmental Critical Element performance standards;
Reviews of design and construction team’s and contractor documentation (i.e., P&IDs, process simulations, C&E charts, package specifications, safety plans);
Participate in site assurance reviews and audits (i.e., Yards, OEMs, and engineering contractors);
Participate in the development of operational barriers;
Participate in systems integration and acceptance testing (package and sub-package level);
Participate in the development of asset digital twin and lifecycle simulator/s;
Contribute to the maintenance plan build;
Contribute to sparing and obsolescence planning;
Contribute to Operation strategies, plans and procedures development; and
Contribute to Development Plan Application and Certification Plan development.
Represent Equinor and support Bay du Nord Operations in all external stakeholder engagements relating to the domain (i.e., Partner, regulators)
Participate as a member of the mechanical completion and commissioning team and act as the technical integrity representative in the RFOC team, for described domain
Contribute to the creation of the technical integrity inspection management plan
Act as a resource to the Bay du Nord Operations team for both Equinor and regulatory requirements and design codes, for the described domain
Contribute to Equinor’s global professional network for process systems. Act as a strong link between the professional network and the Bay du Nord operations team
Experience Preferred:
• 10 years (preferably the majority focused on floating offshore Oil & Gas assets)
• Operations experience centred on performance of technical barriers
• Good knowledge of tools and methods for process systems design work
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong adaptable and team centric behaviours.
• High focus and commitment to personal and process safety.
Education Preferred:
• Bachelor or Master of Engineering degree
• Professional Engineering designation from Professional Engineers and Geoscientist of Newfoundland and Labrador (or ability to obtain designation)
