Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. During this program, you will have the opportunity to work within three critical functions at Amgen Canada. The 2024 rotational experience will be as follows:
(Jan – April) – Medical / Medical Information
(May – Aug) – Value, Access and Policy (Market/Patient Access, Contracts & Pricing, Reimbursement, Patient Support Programs)
(Sept– Dec) – Business Unit Marketing (Inflammation, Oncology or Gen Med)

Responsibilities:
Medical Information
Conduct comprehensive literature searches, critically appraise and distill scientific information, and effectively communicate responses to external and internal customers’ inquiries
Identify and collect information specific to reported adverse events and document appropriately
Liaise with Global Medical Information to ensure alignment of processes, projects and systems
Develop Medical Information materials for health care professionals
Value, Access and Policy (Market Access, Contracts & Pricing, Patient Access, Reimbursement, Patient Support Programs)
Review of clinical data for submission of projects to provincial/federal health authorities
Review of biopharmaceutical contracts for terms and conditions
Competitive Intelligence activities
Scan of reimbursement landscapes for various projects
Business Unit Marketing
Formulate strategic brand plans and present plans to executive committee
Project and vendor management
Develop and implement tools for sales force use
Develop and implement materials for patient program use
Develop and implement internal strategies to maximize sales effectiveness
Develop field staff training workshops

Basic Qualifications
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
18 years or older
Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Master’s program for a Master’s internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA OR Master’s OR Pharm D OR Ph.D. program before the internship starts
Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship OR co-op
Preferred Qualifications
Science Background with Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience
Strong computer skills with the Microsoft Office suite of software including Outlook
Be a strong team player and able to build productive internal/external relationships
Flexible and adaptable and willing to participate in a variety of projects
Be a self-motivator to achieve results with attention to detail
Excel at written and oral communication
