The Opportunity
The Director Enterprise Applications sets the direction, strategy and vision for Amica’s portfolio of enterprise applications. You will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the IT team on all requirements surrounding business process design, enterprise applications and documentation. In addition, you will help prioritize enterprise applications development, functional support of all enterprise systems (Yardi, SalesForce, Cubigo, SARA, OneStream, analytics, others as added) and provide best practices for a sustainable ecosystem that supports the organizations financial, operational and growth goals. In this leadership role you will apply your people leadership skills to coach and mentor a team of experts. You will foster trusted partnerships with business stakeholders and other IT Groups and be a champion for positive transformation.
What you will be doing
Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders on all IT matters
Work closely with the VP of IT to establish annual strategic plans surrounding business processes and all enterprise applications
Create and nurture a team of business-focused Analysts that partner with the business to continuously improve, optimize and enhance business processes and their use of enterprise applications
Support the short-term and long-term financial and operational goals of Amica by supporting successful delivery of Programs
Assesses business and user needs continuously to provide analysis on opportunities to take advantage of existing and/or innovative technology solutions
Translate emerging business requirements to applications enablement initiatives that yield measurable business outcomes
Manage the user requirements process for all applications, including effective inter-department and cross-department communications
Develop relevant metrics, measures and publishes the performance of the services provided and enables continuous improvement activities in collaboration with peer groups
Work closely with all other IT management personnel in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing specific information technologies that support the Corporate and IT strategies
Keep abreast of new developments and forecasts future trends in application integration in the health services sector
Serve as an internal consultant to other IT management staff and business
Provide key operational metrics for all global applications operations processes
Identify deficient systems and make constant improvements
Provide input to the Financial and Capital Planning processes as well as technology impacts to the department
Evolve and evangelize a robust Software Development Lifecycle framework in alignment with Amica’s cloud-first strategy
What we’re looking for
Ten or more years of professional experience with preferably four years in the health services industry
Eight or more years of experience in managing enterprise IT applications including design, implementation, delivery, troubleshooting and change management
Advanced leadership skills with a track record of building and developing a team
Great communication, presentation, leadership, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
A solutions-oriented leader with refined decision-making skills and the ability to lead by example
Persistent in pursuit of positive transformations
Highly self-motivated, directed and focused on results.
Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
Solid customer service focus.
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
Ability to see the big picture but also go into the detail when necessary.
Ability to learn and to contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field
