Our Production & Warehouse team is looking for a General Labourer to join our team at Global Vintners Inc. Reporting into the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, the General Labourer will be responsible for working with production and warehouse personnel as they carry out the day-to-day duties of their respective departments. Duties may include, but are not limited to assisting with production operations, attending the lines, small package assembly, order picking and pallet wrapping, all while meeting set quality standards and working in safe efficient and courteous manner.

We Are Looking For a Teammate With

• High School Diploma or GED.
• HACCP training is an asset.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• 1 – 2 years’ work experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.

Production

This teammate will be accountable for:

• Assist in the manual pack operations on the line.
• Assist in general clean up, GMP and sanitation activities.
• Assist and monitor packaging equipment including carton erectors, fillers, pumps and palletizers.
• Assist in the assembly of small pack items used in production or for sale.
• Environmental and tank cleaning and sanitation, maintaining a neat and tidy work area at all times.
• Observe gauges, record operating parameters and support coordinator to maintain operations within specification.
• Follow the bulk receiving guidelines in a timely and efficient manner.
• Follow procedures and policies and report any deviation immediately to the coordinator or supervisor.
• Consistently provides and strives for excellent internal and external Customer Service.
• Follows safe work procedures and practices and reports all unsafe working conditions/ hazards to their reporting Manager.

Warehouse

• Assists in the assembly of equipment starter kits.
• Performs order picking and other job assignments as requested by coordinators or manager.
• Ensures all product and components are free from damage during assembly and/or picking.
• Ensures that the workplace is neat, clean and organized at all times.
• Manually loads skids and properly stages orders for shipment.
• Operate mobile equipment safely.
• Effective use of scanning equipment to maintain proper inventory levels and pick accuracy.
• Follows safe working procedures and practices and reports any unsafe working conditions / hazards to the manager.
• Reports any workplace incidents or injuries to the manager.
• Assist in general clean up, GMP and sanitation activities.
• Will be required to work afternoon shifts.
