Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for new controls systems installations in manufacturing and assembly plants.
Assist with installation, programming, testing, and debugging of electrical equipment and systems.
Follow established and defined processes and procedures to complete basic projects and solve problems of limited scope.
Expectations:
Compile and analyze operational test data to resolve performance issues.
Perform controls troubleshooting and confer with controls engineers and other team members to resolve problems.
Provide technical information concerning calibration, programming and machine setup.
Install design modifications as required.
Maintain critical environmental and process controls.
Maintain project documents using approved methodology, tools, and templates.
Participate on project teams supporting activities related to controls issues.
Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
A mindful eye to personal safety concerns (Lock-out tag out practices)
Provide support to Controls Engineer as requested.
Assist in the development and training of plant maintenance personnel in the area of controls systems.

Qualifications and Experience:
Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
Years of Experience: 2+ years progressive controls experience in an automotive manufacturing or assembly facility.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong technical knowledge of electrical and pneumatic /control systems and the ability to apply these concepts within the manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated basic understanding of mechanical concepts involving machine designs and process requirements involved in the manufacturing process.
Ability to create, read, understand, and modify electrical prints and specifications.
Root cause analysis skills.
Technical competence in software to design ladder logic and machine controls and troubleshoot machine controls (Siemens-Step 7, Allen Bradley-Ladder Logic).
Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
Knowledge of servo motors, motion controls, and drives.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Strong attention to detail.
