Professional Qualifications
- Minimum 1 years experience in childcare center
- Experience in integrated settings
- Current First Aid and C.P.R. Certificates
- Police Record Check (current within 3 months)
- TB Current
- Well versed in How Does Learning Happen Elect Document
Personal Qualifications
- A positive and sensitive attitude towards children, their parents and other staff members.
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Ability to supervise other staff, including students on placement
- All health requirements to be met in accordance with the Ministry of Education Nurseries Act
- Dress appropriate to convey the organizations professional image
- Dedicated to professional development
Support, Observe and assist student/staff by:
- Modeling at routine and transition times
- Communicating via the communication log in the binders
- Participating in staff evaluation
- Meet once a month for update on age groups
- Familiar with How Does Learning Happen and ELECT document
Monitor and Document individual child progress by:
- Keeping track of Posting for Story (Anecdotal note)
- Dividing this work evenly between staff and posted once a month
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week
Salary: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
