Assistant Vice President Broker/ Senior Broker

What the day will look like
-
Working with broking teams in servicing and prospecting clients
-
Attending meetings and/or functions with clients, prospects and reinsurers, on a regular basis, to support client retention and new business growth
-
Assisting in the preparation of reinsurance market proposals
-
Preparing formal contract documentation for clients and reinsurers
-
Assisting in the technical analysis of client information
-
Performing other duties as assigned
Skills and experience that will lead to success
-
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Economics, Finance, Math or other similarly quantitative or analytically oriented major preferred.
-
Minimum 3+ years experience in reinsurance, insurance, underwriting or financial analysis
-
Strong sales skills with ability to quickly develop new sales techniques
-
Exceptional interpersonal skills with capability of interacting with clients and/or prospects to cultivate strong relationships
-
Experience in Financial Impact Analysis

Strong analytical skills with ability to make sound business decisions – structured decision analysis, such as SWOT and cost benefit
-
Business consulting – ability to put together and conduct a recommendation pitch backed by quantitative analysis with easy-to-understand visuals
-
Well-rounded communication skills demonstrating the ability to think “quickly on your feet” to deliver concise messages clearly linked to clients’ stated objectives
-
Dynamic presentation skills that engage a variety of audiences and cultures
-
Strong organization and time management skills with ability to multi-task and manage projects
-
Committed to delivering the highest level in customer service, quality and results
-
Ability to travel, as needed
