Responsibilities:

As a Superintendent, your core goal is to uphold the highest level of professionalism on all sites, demonstrating leadership, collaboration, integrity, service, quality, and a hard work ethic in all your interactions with coworkers, subcontractors, and clients. Your project responsibilities will include the following:

• Assisting project managers in estimating, creating project schedules, ordering materials, and preparing multiple sites for the start of construction.
• Providing leadership and expertise for internal project planning meetings, pre-bid meetings, kickoff meetings, check-ins, and debriefs throughout the course of projects.
• Managing and coordinating schedules, materials, and subcontractors on an ongoing basis, ensuring no gaps in project scope.
• Identifying creative construction methods to complete work requirements efficiently.
• Coordinating site activities and materials, and providing general direction to internal labour and subcontractors.
• Working together with project managers to maintain on-site documentation, including site instructions, contract changes, safety records, and daily job-site logs.
• Ensuring that the safety program is adhered to and our COR status is upheld.
• Communicating customer issues and devising ways of improving the customer experience.
• Maintaining an exceptional standard of professionalism, respect, and communication on site for everyone involved, and managing conflict as it arises.
• Maturing the overall services and capacities of our operations team.
• Supporting and providing relief to other crews when necessary, including performing general labour as required.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of blueprint interpretation and construction best practices; preference for someone with infrastructure-related project work.
• Experience with construction management software.
• Class 5 license.
• Ability to work on the road.
