Position
This is an exciting opportunity to join the ara Shoes team in an important role as a customer service representative at our North American headquarters in Gatineau, QC. The chosen candidate will provide Customer Service to retail and online clients, and includes internal sales support. This is a fast-paced, full time position with a major European footwear brand.

Work Location
ara Shoes head office is located at 77 rue Jean Proulx in Gatineau, Quebec.

Responsibilities

  • Support Wholesale and retail consumers
  • Work with customers on the phone both incoming and outgoing calls
  • Order Processing
  • Return Processing
  • Work to create solutions for retail and consumer issues that arise
  • Direct-to-consumer (D2C) support
  • Report running and translation to MS Excel on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

Candidate Requirements

  • Bilingual preferred (English and French)
  • Able to work at the Gatineau Office
  • A Self-Starter who is detailed by nature and has experience working unsupervised, as well as in a team environment
  • Has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office with a heavy slant towards Excel
  • A proven track record in customer service or customer support
  • Google Drive/Cloud Storage experience and connected programs (Google sheets, docs, sites, etc.)
  • Have significant interpersonal and problem-solving skills, confidence and maturity, and a willingness to learn and to pitch in where needed

Computer skills
Versatile/experienced in Microsoft Office

Experience
Customer service: minimum 1 year essential
Sales: helpful, but not required

Language
English (fluent) French (conversational)

Education
Secondary School required
College or University not essential

Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

Compensation
This position comes with a starting annual salary of $39,000 with a possibility of annual bonuses, advancement and growth opportunities.

Work remotely
There may be remote times but this is primarily an onsite position.
