The Retail Manager will provide direct operational, and financial oversight for all retail franchises, and food service outlets on campus, with the support of the Food Service Director and District Marketing Manager.
Job Responsibilities
? Responsible for the daily operation of all Retail Food Service Outlets/Components, ensuring they are running smoothly, understanding that there will be times when you?ll have to ?jump in? and work within the component
? Implements and leads compliance on all Aramark operating standards, Franchise standards, and legislated standards within the component including company policy and procedure, Health and Safety Standards and Safe Food Handling
? Develops operational component forecasts each period, able to explain variances in sales, costs and operational activities
? Responsible for scheduling and tracking daily labour on schedules to ensure that forecasts are met
? Ensure proper submission of daily sales reporting
? Responsible for the hiring and placement of all staff in Retail Food Service Outlets
? Coach and train teams in all retail departments
? Responsible for inventory management, ordering, receiving, and pricing
? Ensure development and training of customer service programs and product knowledge for all, to ensure ARAMARK service standards are exceeded
? Ensure that disciplinary actions are taken when necessary
? Training on POS registers, scanners, and debit/credit/meal card handhelds
? Collects, records, and deposits all revenue
? Ensure proper training in ARAMARK policies and procedures relative to cash handling and ensuring compliance of all cash handling and cash auditing procedures and reporting any overage/shortages
? Complete random cash audits. Verify accountability report of financial transactions, to include sales and transfers of product between components
? Ensure the implementation and tracking of all corporate programs, KRONOS, LST, Prima, FMF, MSDS, GMM, SWAT, First Aid, and Food Safe for all units
? Development of procedures for opening and closing the locations, including security requirements, stocking, cleaning, and cleaning/sanitizing of equipment
? Ensure products are compliant with Supply Management approved vendors and products.
? Ensure merchandise is presented in a coordinated and exciting manner
? Supervise periodic physical inventories as well as review and explain any potential count discrepancies on usage reports. Monitor internal and external theft identifying improvements for product placement and control
? Work with District marketing manager and marketing Intern to ensure the highest impact of all GRO programs and seasonal and/or University promotions. Ensure presentation of merchandise is shown in a coordinated and exciting manner which projects desired ARAMARK concepts
? Reviewing and developing new concepts with Food Service Director to increase existing revenue sources for all locations.
? Monitor equipment repair and maintenance
? Address and resolve any customer issues
? Have a clean driving abstract as will be regularly driving a company vehicle
Qualifications
Min 3 years of relevant experience in the related field.
Requires High School diploma or equivalent experience. Bachelor?s degree preferred.?
Must be able to work efficiently and independently
Ability to solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business in both the short and long term.
Ability to multi-task; success in this role is defined as being able to think quickly and adapt as necessary to accomplish goals.
Must have a valid driver?s license and be able to obtain DOT certification to operate DOT regulated vehicles.
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Strong analytical, project planning, and financial management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, colleagues and staff
Education
