Job Description
Aramark Canada Ltd. is seeking a Supply Purchaser to join the Saint Thomas University Dining Services team! Reporting to the Dining Hall Manager with a dotted line to the Executive Chef, the Supply Purchaser is responsible for placing orders, receiving and processing orders, and assisting with inventory.
This is a full time, union position with CUPE. The starting wage for this position is $17.12 per hour. This wage will increase to $19.79 after 2080 hours worked
Job Responsibilities

Responsible for receiving and inspecting products, accurately labeling items and reporting any discrepancies in reconciliation of deliveries and invoices.

Responsible for organizing and storing all incoming products in assigned locations, applying FIFO (first in, first out) inventory controls for perishable products.

Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to meet accuracy and production standards.

Unload products and materials. May require use of carts, powered industrial vehicles (PIV), or motor vehicles.

Assist with conducting routine physical inventory counts.

Clean work areas as assigned, including but not limited to loading dock, freight elevator and freight platform delivery areas when applicable.

Adhere to all location safety policies and emergency procedures. Use all required safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
Qualifications

High school education or equivalent is preferred
-
2+ years of previous Receiving or Purchasing experience is preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Basic computer skills
-
Able to lift up to 50 lb frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 35 lb
