Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction.
Reporting to the Manager – Human Resources, the Camp & Travel Coordinator is responsible for coordination of travel arrangements and camp accommodations for all staff on the Black Water Gold project, as well as ensuring site authorization and supporting all departments with catering.
Responsibilities:
Primary contact regarding all flights, travel and camp booking activities, issues, and inquiries. for all staff on the Blackwater Gold project.
Ensuring that Site Authorization and Pre Employment Clearance documentation is obtained prior to site entry.
Manage the implementation and training of a camp and travel management system.
Reconciliation of all invoices against commercial bookings and catering provider daily occupant reports.
Support custodial company with room reservations and changes as needed.
Maintain a high level of service, discretion, and continuity to ensure the safe & timely operation of travel days.
Support all departments with catering, cleaning, or any camp and travel related requests.
Undertake camp audits and inspections in all areas of the accommodation and messing facilities ensuring standards in cleanliness and compliance with the accommodation and messing contract are maintained.
Responsible for forecasting of camp accommodations, flights and travel requirements and submission of forecasting reports to site management and the catering contractor at regular intervals including updates on camp capacity and travel concerns as required.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned on the Blackwater Project.
Qualifications:
At least 2 to 3 years related experience preferably on a Fly in Fly out oil and gas, mining or construction project
Camp management experience with a good understanding of day-to day camp operations
Must have strong knowledge of a MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
In-depth analytical skills and ability to create useful and actionable reports from data
Possess strong written and verbal communications skills
Possess strong organization skills and ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadline
Excellent time management, and follow-through skills
Knowledge of kitchen operations
Advanced Food Safety certification
Ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests for data, ability to provide excellent customer service a must
Possess a creative outlook with a problem-solving attitude
Self-starter and self-directed individual who is able to work well independently and within a team
A valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
