Hi there, we’re Article. 👋 We’re an online furniture company creating remarkably better furniture experiences one sofa at a time. We’re looking for a Set Stylist to join our Creative Team for a 12 month fixed term.
Why We Need You
On the Creative team, you’ll help elevate the Article experience in our photography and video by designing and prop-styling interior sets that are inspirational and on-brand. You will focus on working with the Art Director on styling to plan interior sets, bringing them to life through photo and video prop styling, and sourcing props and artwork for sets.
About Our Team
This role is Hybrid and you will be required to be in the office 3 days a week to attend meetings and be in the studio during shoots.

What You’ll Do
- Design and prop-style interior sets that are inspirational and on-brand.
- Create digital set mockups for the studio production team using milanote and other tools to represent the space you want to create.
- Work closely with the Art Director to plan interior sets that align with the overall creative vision.
- Coordinate with other Styling team members to execute set designs effectively.
- Collaborate with photographers and videographers to fulfill the creative briefs.
- Acquire and manage props, as well as maintain a comprehensive understanding of Article products – you’ll need to source from our prop library.
- Handle and maintain products on set with care to ensure their condition and cleanliness during shoots.
- Source and manage artwork used in photo and video sets.
- Coordinate with external vendors for paint and window treatments.
- Manage priorities and switch between projects efficiently to meet deadlines and project requirements.
- Work with and onboard freelance styling support when needed.
- You’ll be hands-on with set visualization and creation.
- Utilize software tools like InDesign, Illustrator, and/or Sketchup to create visual representations of set plans.
- Ensure that the designs align with the desired aesthetics and brand identity.
- Work with the freelance digital set stylist to maintain and create sets for upcoming CMA shoots.
- Collaborate with the studio producer to acquire necessary products for styling sets in photo and video shoots
- Ensure that products are assembled and styled correctly before photography or filming
- Take care of details like steaming soft products and linens, hanging art, arranging floral elements, keeping the set clean etc.
- Source perishable items such as flowers, food and drinks for specific styling needs
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
- 3+ years of experience styling interior sets for clients and/or Photographers and Videographers
- Experience on set, working with photographers, videographers, and stylists
- Experience with prop sourcing and handling budgets
- A portfolio of work demonstrating your photo and video styling expertise
- Up to date on trends in design, home decor, and related industries
- Strong eye for detail, color, and composition
- Flexible and able to work within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Interior design and home staging experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of Milanote and other collaborative tools is a plus
- Experience working in an e-commerce photo studio
- Basic InDesign skills
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Completion of criminal background check

The expected salary is $62,000 to $72,000. The actual base pay can increase beyond this range and will be based on various factors, including transferable skills, training and certifications, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
