Arvan Rehab Group Looking for Healthcare Worker at Pickering, ON Full Time

We are currently looking for a Health Care Worker to work for a Long Term Care client in Pickering, Ontario. Working as a COVID-19 Rapid Tester. COVID-19 Rapid Tester will conduct and perform related duties associated with the collection of specimen and data required for conducting COVID-19 Rapid Testing at a Long Term Care facility.

The duties may include but are not limited to collection and registration of data for residents, staff and whomever applicable. Conducting and/or reading the COVID-19 rapid test and completing specimen collection.

Schedule:
Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday (12hr Shifts)

Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct specimen collection of COVID-19 rapid tests primarily using applicable (bilateral anterior, etc.) swabbing techniques

Adhere to infection control protocol specifically related to PPE as well as handling and disposing of specimens

Enforce and adhere to proper hand hygiene and sanitize work stations in between residents etc.,

Maintain accurate documentation including residents (whomever applicable) requisitions, labels for specimens and reports test results as required appropriately.

Maintain attention to details in collection and labelling of specimens and data collection.

Interact with residents, on-site staff members, co-workers, visitors etc., in a cordial manor.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all tasks.

Requirements:
Must be a Health Care Worker (RPN, PTA etc., (No PSW)

Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure

Ability to communicate well with the elderly, supervisors and teammates

Experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement home would be a definite asset

Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector is required

Valid TB Test and/or Chest X-Ray is required

COVID-19 Vaccinations (1st/2nd Dose)
