Credit and Collections Analyst Career Opportunity
The Dufresne Group is currently seeking a Credit and Collections Analyst for our Accounting Team within our Home Office located at 116 Nature Park Way in Winnipeg, MB.
As a Credit and Collections Analyst you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing the Accounts Receivable accounts and collaborate with third-party agencies. This individual will maintain all the outstanding account balances, report on, and work with external/internal parties for issue resolution.

As a Credit and Collections Analyst, you will:
- Perform, collection, and reconciliation activities in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment and through finance.
- Review commercial credit applications for specific information, including risk, capacity, and character to determine credit worthiness.
- Conduct analysis of credit report, financial statements, and trade references as part of credit review to make constructive credit decisions and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance issues are brought to management’s attention.
- Oversee daily orders on hold to determine whether to increase credit limit or to hold future orders by conducting rapid credit investigation.
- Ensure all collections are made in a timely manner, primarily through phone calls and email reminders.
- Compile monthly and weekly reporting packages for management and executives.
- Direct and monitor retail administrators on the collection of aged accounts.
- Requesting payments, putting them on a payment plan.
- Collect and maintain the information, reviewing, and verify overdue accounts.
- Investigating the data.
- Contacting clients for overdue payments.
- Review and make recommendations for Bad Debt reserves.
- Verify accuracy, completeness, and consistency of accounting information received.
- Handle escalations from internal and external relationships.
- Ensure that follow up is being done to collect all past due balances owed to TDG.
- Reconcile customer accounts.
- Complete various reporting for the management team.
As a successful candidate you will have the following:
- Business Administration Diploma or degree, with focus area in accounting.
- 3+ years’ experience with Accounts Receivable/credit and collections related functions for a multi jurisdiction company.
- Knowledge of LEAN practises are an asset.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Critical thinking, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A team player, motivated through collaboration, teamwork, and problem solving.
- Highly Proficient in excel and working in an automated, paperless office environment
