We are a very successful detail focused investment and financial planning practice and we are seeking a financial services administrative assistant . You will be part of a small team with high standards that provides outstanding operations and administrative support to the Senior Financial Advisor and legendary service to our clients. We have high expectations for ourselves and we “do the common things uncommonly well.”
Responsibilities and Duties
Duties include providing continuous assistance and support to the Senior Financial Advisor and his clients. Duties can include: calling clients to schedule appointments, managing the advisor’s schedule, updating our client contact system, preparing investment files, completing investment, mutual fund and insurance paperwork; data entry, posting data, delivering cheques to the bank, processing and verifying investment trades, administration and providing comprehensive executive assistance.
Skills and Qualifications
High attention to detail and excellent follow through is required and is key to success. Must be very organized and focused, an excellent communicator, work well with numbers, and have a strong desire to learn. A polished image will be an advantage in this professional fast paced environment.

Requirements
University degree, college diploma or similar, is desired. Financial services experience, mutual fund knowledge, and business courses are all beneficial. Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC), Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Certified Financial Planner Courses (CFP) and similar courses are very beneficial.
Several years of work experience is preferred. We are very willing to train someone who is short on financial experience but who has the drive to complete courses and who has the right attitude.
Although not required, the ideal candidate will want to become IIROC licensed.
