Canadas 2nd largets 3rd party logsitics company is looking for an Admin to join their Dock team – they will sit in the warehouse separated it an office style pit . The candidate will be responsible for different clerical tasks using Microsoft Excel and Truck Mate. The candidate will first be responsible for looking after the dock, uploading photos, sending emails, communicating with dock team on damaged freight, making sure reports are clean, creating and verifying bills of laying. The dock clerk with be responsible for “stripping trailers” – when a truck comes inbound to drop of shipment the dock clerk will be required to handle all paperwork in accordance to the truck load – check invoices, manifests and enter inventory of what product is back in. They will be communicating with dock supervisors and truck drivers.
Other responsibilities include:
Gather, enter, and update data to maintain software database on daily basis as appropriate, establishs and maintain files and records k
Input skeleton bills into the system ensuring that all critical information is input, enter comments regarding damages, shortages and ensure required signatures are present
Assist drivers with preliminary paperwork information such a bill of lading, trip envelops and border crossing procedures
-Create manifests, verify the weight for all LTL loads, load trailers, ensuring that the number of boxes/ shipments, weight and dangerous goods information is correct and complete
Requirements:
Minimum 1 Year experience doing back-end admin duties (entering in PO’s, invoices, billing and data-entry) for a warehouse
Warehouse experience can be in transportation, distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing
Intermediate Computer Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word Experience (intermediate – i.e.. pivot tables)
Ability to work alone and not be micromanaged – looking for a go-getter who is team-oriented.
Comfortable working in a warehouse and blue-collard environment
