Aston Carter’s client in the Specialty Foods industry is looking to add a Finance Business Analyst to their Corporate office team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Business Analyst is a key part of the corporate finance team and is responsible for supporting the company’s finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include supporting: (i) the development of new and existing finance applications, including OneStream, the company’s Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solution across Finance functions, (ii) the administration of finance processes and policies, (iii) user training and guidance.

Duties Include:

• Develop and maintain finance applications, including OneStream CPM, company’s Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solution
• Serve as super-user responsible for managing Accounting and FP&A consolidation modules, system security, user training, user support, acquisition onboarding and change requests
• Support the Finance team through each finance application environment and manage data integrity in each system.
• Leverage finance applications to drive innovation and continuously improve reporting and value-added analyses of financial reporting, planning & budgeting, quarterly reviews, and various sr management presentations
• Become fully engaged in deployment activities by providing technical guidance to project teams and developing material and conducting training as new reports, features & functionality go live to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Deliver on finance innovation projects including implementations, upgrades, enhancements, integrations and other process enhancement projects
• Join Finance Project Management teams in the design and implementation of finance applications in the company’s various businesses
• Supporting the Reporting and Consolidations team
• Systems Testing
• Data Validation
• Continuously evaluate process and provide recommendations

Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves:

• In possession of, or near completion of accounting designation (CPA)
• 4+ years of Financial Accounting experience coupled with strong fundamental accounting knowledge;
• Experience working in one of the following environments: Mid-Large Organization with multi-entity and multi-currency OR Corp HQ
• Strong communication (written and verbal)
• Strong initiative and positive attitude; ability to problem solve, bring forward ideas and help with project work
• Intermediate-Advanced Excel (given big data and how quickly can you analyze it?)
• Keen interest in learning new tools and systems and working in a people facing environment

Nice to Haves:

• Strong systems experience (ideally previously supported ERP project)
• Experience and/or understanding of Oracle EPM, Oracle Essbase or CPM tools
• Experience working through a system implementation; including testing
