Aston Carter Looking for Parts Technician at Delta, British Columbia, Canada Full Time

• Description:* Aston Carter’s client in Delta is seeking a Parts Technician to join their team. The Parts Technician will work with various internal team members to identify, source, and purchase items as required. They will liase with suppliers to find the best available items and manage inventory by running weekly inventory counts using the client’s internal ERP system. This role will also require ad hoc duties such as receiving and stocking.
• Duties:*
• Communicating with suppliers
• Sourcing parts for best available price and delivery time
• Inventory cycle counts annually, weekly item cycle counts will be implemented eventually – but will flip to quarterly
• Distributing parts to and for mechanics
• Navigating Serious E (ERP system) by Orian
• Receiving parts orders
• Stocking shelves
• Coordinating with rental team and mechanics
• Requirements:*
• 3+ years purchasing experience
• 3+ Parts inventory experience in a heavy duty/shop floor environment
• Red Seal parts certificate
• Construction/heavy equipment background (aviation parts exp also slightly relative – no automotive)
• Additional SKkills:*
• Management experience within a parts department; can plug and play into running their parts dept.
• Forklift experience/ticket (very nice to have)
• Soft Skills:*
• Can be action/solution oriented and show that in an interview
• Takes initiative, self starter attitude (does not wait for work to be given to them rather seeks tasks)
