We are looking for an HR Co-op student to join us for an 8- or 12-month term starting in May 2023 in Calgary or Edmonton. The student will provide support to the HR Operations team to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services to client groups for the Utilities Division. The incumbent is responsible for a wide range of human resource functions including supporting the recruitment process and activities, talent programs, reporting, and working with the Employee Resource Centre (ERC) to ensure employee data maintenance into Oracle HRMS.
Required Duties:
Support the HR Operational team in the following areas:
Development of job postings
Shortlist and prescreen applicants
Schedule interviews
Complete reference and security checks
Draft offer letters
Initiate organizational changes/people moves within ATCO’s human capital management system
Draft and analyze reports
Support ATCO’s Summer Student hiring process
Manage wage subsidy applications
Manage ad-hoc requests and projects
Required Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
Strong analytical abilities
Proven initiative and resourcefulness
Excellent attention to detail
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Positive attitude toward change and continuous improvement
