Due to the company’s growth, we are adding a Project Manager to lead construction of our remote projects in Kelowna in our Commercial Design/Build environment. This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative team with a focus on ensuring client satisfaction while living Aura’s values of Care, Humility, Creativity, Passion and Fun!

About You
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Strong project management skills and an understanding of the triple constraint of cost, scope and schedule
· Expert mentorship and leadership skills
· Strong customer relationship management capabilities
· Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and specifications
· Proficient in relevant software (MS Office, Corecon, Smartsheet, Site Docs, Jonas Premer, Excel etc.)
· Ability to manage around tight deadlines and still get the details right
· Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
· Methodical, analytical, problem-solving mindset; and
· Outstanding organizational & time management skills and high level of attention to detail.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently
· Strong oral and written communication skills in English with a focus on customer service
Experience
· 15+ years’ experience in a project management role
· Experience in the interior office construction industry required
· Experience building and adapting systems, processes, and procedures
Credentials
· Post-secondary degree preferred, ideally in a relevant field (business, project management, construction)
· PMP or PM certification is an asset
Responsibilities
· Create budget and construction proposals and manage client relationships
· Monitor systems and processes to meet project timelines, budget requirements, safety and quality objectives
· Liaise with internal stakeholders (Sales, Design, Pre-Con, Delivery)
· Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to develop understanding of project scope;
· Identify gaps in construction scopes of work and implement strategies to rectify
· Continually review the Master Schedule on each project and ensures dates and timelines are accurate and are being met
· Forecast labour and deliverable timelines on all assigned projects
· Protect the company against wasteful, inefficient, unsafe, and fraudulent practices
· Work collaboratively with the design team to ensure smooth transition to the construction phase
· Manage building permit applications
· Conduct site inspections
· Implement the construction process with assistance from Site Superintendent and Project Coordinator
· Conduct regular meetings with site staff and clients to monitor project status
· Produce weekly progress reports for each project
· Monitor project quality and safety through the site superintendent
· Identify and raise risk management issues on an on-going basis
· Work with the Site Superintendent to ensure that all deficiencies are identified, documented, and reported
· Oversee the project closing processes and ensures that Aura meets its quality, safety, budget, and client satisfaction needs as well as ensuring that lessons learned are captured to enable continual improvement of Aura processes
· Leads substantial completion walk-throughs
· Assist with undertaking any other duties and responsibilities as required.
