Fixed Operations Director – International & Luxury Platform

AutoCanada is seeking an experienced Fixed Operations Director for our International & Luxury Platform who can drive responsible growth and service excellence at our 15 dealerships across Canada. They will be responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the service, parts and detail departments for the Platform, driving the growth of revenue, technical productivity while promoting a high degree of customer satisfaction.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced fixed operations leader who is passionate about the automotive industry, customer service and coaching people to new levels of success. Our Platform brands include Hyundai (7), Mercedes-Benz (2), BMW (2), Audi (2), Porsche (1) and Mazda (1).

Your Key Responsibilities

Oversee and direct all aspects of the Service, Parts, and Detail Departments:

• Understand and comply with Federal, Provincial, local and OEM regulations that affect repair operations.
• Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
• Make customer satisfaction a Platform priority and monitor results & feedback.

Analysis And Forecasting

• Forecast goals and objectives.
• Prepare and administer an annual operating budget.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
• Monitor and analyse Platform performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to maximize efficiency and profitability
• Make data-informed decisions based on a sound understanding of organizational priorities, customer feedback, analytics, benchmarks, industry reporting and emerging trends.

Leadership, Mentorship & Training

• Lead, partner and mentor Parts and Service Managers for a Platform and Region
• Engaging and motivating the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations and AutoCanada’s best practice processes.
• Foster professional team member development and coordinate with department managers to determine need for advanced training.

Your Capabilities And Credentials

• 5+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of leadership experience
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
• A keen ability to turn data into progressive improvement through consultation
• In-depth knowledge of automotive service and parts operations, including diagnostic procedures, technical expertise, and parts management
• Demonstrated ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
