Business Development Representative

Avanti is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join the sales and marketing team. As part of the revenue team you’ll hunt for new prospective customers, while leveraging the best sales and marketing technology in the business to gain efficiencies and ultimately, succeed.

What you’ll do:
- Hunt for new logos and generate interest in Avanti’s all-in-one HCM platform! This will include pre-call research & account planning, making a high volume of outbound activities per day and maintaining accurate data / records in Salesforce.
- Reach out to new prospects to create awareness about the Avanti Solution using tools such as email, LinkedIn, the phone, web chat, and social media.
- Work directly with Account Executives to generate new pipeline opportunities through personalized outreach to multiple stakeholders within Avanti’s key prospect accounts.
- Effectively partner with the sales team to develop & test new outreach messaging
- Work closely with the Account Executive team to develop account plans, relationship maps, and use cases that will contribute to winning sales opportunities.
- Engage HR & Payroll professionals through phone, email, and other channels to understand their challenges and identify opportunities to provide value.
- Work with sales management to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to create opportunities for new business.
- Have the autonomy to operate beyond your role and help the team improve our process, training, use of technology, and any other aspects of our business.
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility as part of an ever-growing sales organization
Who we’re looking for:
- You have a background in support, sales, or marketing communications and want to be coached to become a Sales Superstar
- Successful sales experience in a quota-driven environment AND/OR a strong interest in a selling role; ~1 year inside or outbound sales experience.
- You are a metric-driven individual with a high-reaching side, you want to grow your career in sales and are motivated by success
- You have a technical aptitude and ability to learn and master new tools (like: Salesforce.com, HubSpot, Gong, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo)
- Experience working in teams, strong collaborator with a positive attitude
- You are well organized and able to prioritize tasks and effectively manage time·
- An excellent communicator who is able to engage effectively with clients’ in-person as well as remotely, both verbally and written
- A collaborator who enjoys exchanging ideas with clients and teammates
- Self-motivated, driven performer with a growth mindset
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree or higher
What you can expect:
- Please note, the base salary range for this role is $50,000 to $60,000/year with an uncapped commission bringing the On-Target Earnings (OTE) to $70,000 to $80,000/year.
