How you will make a difference
Provide technical drafts for policies that address programs, network connectivity security, wireless security, incident handling, and password utilization.
Assist with conducting various information security and compliance assessments and collaborate with IT, Software, and operational teams.
Contribute to building an Information Security awareness culture via the development and delivery of end-user training.
Support in the development of Avidbots Information security policies, procedures, and standards to meet compliance responsibilities.
Ensure security compliance is in alignment with legal and regulatory standards (i.e. PIPEDA, GDPR, and CCPA).
Provide information assurance and subject matter expertise as required in support of panels, committees, and working groups.
Incorporate findings to develop, update, or revise policies and standards for customers.
Perform ISO 27001 security audits against the systems, processes, and network infrastructure according to existing security policies and standards.
Review and analyze audit logs and reports to identify potential deviations and risks.
Lead customer surveys and Master Service Agreements (MSA) internal activities including the coordination of key departments in providing accurate information and on-time.
Work closely with Quality and IT to monitor and control regulatory compliance for Avidbots products, including data privacy (GDPR, SOC2, ISO27001).
Preferred qualifications and key skills
Working knowledge of system and network security engineering best practices
Familiarity with basic information security documentation requirements, certification and accreditation processes, and general reporting requirements for ISO 27001 industry security standard
Professional certification in Information Security (CISSP, SSCP, CCSP)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve complex information security issues
Professional experience using software programs such as Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Atlassian suite of products and ERP systems
Exposure to NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks
Minimum qualifications
Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 3 years working experience in information security
Working Knowledge of data privacy laws, specifically GDPR and SOC2
Successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that may include: criminal/civil background checks and motor vehicle records search
