We are seeking a well-rounded individual able to work in a fast-paced environment to join our team in downtown Toronto. You will be working within a cross-functional team of global experts in North America (Canada, USA) as well as coordinating with our team in India to ensure timely, fast service internally and to our external clients.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and plan with cross-functional team to effectively and efficiently dispatch the company’s resources across the globe (within North America as well as liaising with team members in India)
- Communicate specific freight requirements and procedures
- Handle client and internal inquiries in a timely, professional manner
- Update internal team members and external clients with up-to-date load information
- Monitor and update shipment statuses on the company’s internal applications
- Analyze resource utilization and generate reports as needed
Requirements
- 1+ yrs of trucking industry and/or dispatch experience is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to actively manage multiple, concurrent projects
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations preferred
- Positive attitude with good people skills
- Good command of MS Office (Excel and Word) with an ability to quickly learn new software
