AwareMD Looking for System & Network Administrator at North York, ON Full Time

We are looking for The System / Network Administrator for the maintenance of essential IT operations, including operating systems in Production and Development environments, firewall and VPN, network, security tools, virtualization, applications, servers, email systems. The System Administrator will nurture dependable IT infrastructure and assist with projects to migrate on-premises technologies to cloud-based services. We are looking to hire immediately therefore only apply if you are in Toronto/North York area.

Major responsibilities:

• Administer and manage virtual environments, networking, data backups and security and other systems.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and uptime of networks by assisting in the creation and maintenance of weekly and monthly templated checklists and documenting the work completed thoroughly.
• Assist in the design, architecture, and deployment of new technologies and/or products and work together with the Support and Software Development teams.
• Act as the lead for all support and development team inquiries making sure tickets are responded to and completed in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

-Experience in administration and management of high availability production environments, virtualization, networking, data backups and security and other systems.

• Experience in Installation, Configuration and Deployment of new software and hardware.
• of Experience in Setup user accounts, workstations and other devices as required.
• Experience in Monitoring performance and maintaining high availability systems according to requirements.
• Troubleshoot issues and outages to find the root cause and take measures to prevent similar issues in the future.
• Keep workstations and servers updated and in compliance with company policies.

· Proactively manage and maintain existing infrastructure

· Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend or after-hours maintenance
