We are currently looking for an Accounting Bookkeeper for a Fuel Transport company in Toronto, ON.
Start Date: Immediately
Shift: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: High Park & Bloor St.
Rate: $28 – $30 /hour (depending on experience)
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Perform daily account management for AP, AR, payroll, and related financial entries
- Perform daily and monthly inventory management and reconciliation
- Confirm transactions are recorded accurately and appropriately
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts monthly
- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
- Utilize accounting software and tools proficiently to maintain financial records and generate reports
- Support operations with price analysis and customer quotes
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification preferred
- 5 years of Accountant / Bookkeeping experiencing demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles
Knowledge of Accounting software
- Advance Excel
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective communicator both written and verbal
- Self starter, can-do, attitude
