General Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced full-time temporary Accounting Clerk to provide support to our Finance team at our Campbell River office. This is a 6-month term with the possibility of extension or being made permanent.
The position is currently partly remote due to Covid-19. The position requires visits to the office for some tasks. Personal protective equipment is provided and the office follows all WCB Covid-19 requirements.
Role Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
Provide administrative assistance to the Finance team as directed.
Perform Accounts Payable and journal entry activities.
Assist with the coordination of various projects activities.
Other duties assigned as required.
Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in an accounting and administrative role in a professional office environment.
Accounts Payable and Journal Entry experience required.
Strong technical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
SAP experience an asset.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential.
High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with tact and discretion.
High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion.
Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and have ability to multi-task & prioritize
Flexible, team player who is client service-oriented.
