Ballad’s Grande Prairie training centre is seeking an individual with working knowledge of supply chain to mentor and lead our Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management students to success.

We deliver unique training programs for a variety of organizations, Indigenous Communities and on behalf of the Ministry of Labour & Immigration and Ministry of Community & Social Services.
The Opportunity
Ballad is looking for a dynamic, energetic Mentor to join our team on a part-time basis. The Mentor’s role is to support the students in achieving their CLTD certification and preparing them for a successful career in Supply Chain within Grande Prairie and area.
The Supply Chain Mentor will also monitor participants’ performance to discern potential learning-related challenges within the group. The successful candidate will exhibit confidence and encourage attendee participation.
Reporting to the Program Advisor, the SUPPLY CHAIN PROGRAM MENTOR, your primary duty will be to reinforce of the delivered course material through a variety of learning styles. This can included 1:1 tutoring, group project work, booking external guest speakers from the industry, and teaching course curriculum where needed. The possibilities to support the students learning path is yours to create! The mentor’s duties also involve selecting appropriate methods and tools that will enable participants to achieve results. When problems or issues come up, the Mentor will work with the Program Team to resolve conflict.
The primary office for this program is located at 9817 101 Ave, Grande Prairie, AB.
Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation/Evaluation
Develop/modify workshops and learning tools to meet the needs of program participants based upon the Supply Chain curriculum and deliverables.
Assess individual needs of students and create a learning plan as required.
Collaborate with Program Team to ensure consistency on participant progress and program outcomes;
Develop and maintain professional contacts in the Supply Chain Industry that may provide enriching experiences and/or work placement opportunities;
Liaise with various internal & external clients & stakeholders.
Support Work
Active service management of participants to ensure success
General administration include: participant progress reports, responding to participant inquiries, preparation of materials etc.
Other duties that may arise from time to time and as may be assigned
Experience
The position requires the following skills, experiences and abilities:
Required
Formal Education in Business and/or Supply Chain Management;
Two or more years of relevant work experience;
Mentorship / Leadership Experience
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills;
Strong relationship building and conflict resolution skills;
Exceptional organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
