Bartlett Lodge Looking for Dining Room Server Full Time

Celebrating our 106th anniversary, Bartlett Lodge is Algonquin Park’s smallest and most historic lodge! We have 12 cabins, 2 suites, and 2 platform tents that house our guests from around the world. We are hiring for 1 (one) Dining Room Server vacancy. This is a full-time contract position LOCATED IN ALGONQUIN PARK (3 hours from Ottawa) with a start date of May 22/2023 until the end of our season on October 24th, 2023.

You must be able to complete the entire season to be considered for this position.

As a seasonal hospitality business, you may be required to work holidays, weekends, split shifts, and on occasion 6-day weeks. Since we are a smaller resort, we are able to give our guests personalized attention. The successful candidate should be outgoing and possess a natural talent for customer service.

Pay is based on an hourly wage of $17.00 per hour plus a share of our generous tip pool. For the average staff member in 2022, this worked out to an extra $8500 or almost $8 per hour.

Reporting to the General Manager and Dining Room Manager, duties include:

· Provide professional and friendly service to all resort guests
· Take and process guests’ orders in a timely fashion
· Memorize daily specials and special daily menu instructions
· Manage large groups quickly and efficiently through attentive service and precise order taking
· Maintain a fine dining atmosphere and handle guest complaints/requests quickly

Qualifications:

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· 2+ years of serving experience preferred, ideally in a resort or fine-dining establishment
· 1+ years of customer service experience required

We provide staff accommodations and two meals per day. Employees are welcome to our amenities including canoes, kayaks, and bikes. Employees are also able to enjoy unlimited access to the park at no cost during their days off.
