Your role:
This position is for our Alliston facility which is the largest in Canada. In this role you will provide HR general support which will mainly involve the areas of employee relations, project management, HRIS, leaves and accommodations.
Your team:
You will report into the Sr. Director, HR and you will work closely with the HR Coordinator and Sr. Business HR Manager.
What you’ll be doing:
Works independently to resolve straightforward ER issues as well as helps resolve moderately complex ER issues
Support employees by providing HR related information, addressing employee concerns and by functioning as a liaison
Help coach leadership and team members, ensuring support of organizational changes and business goals
Act as an SME regarding HR data (employee information, talent planning, performance management, compensation), support HR planning process and provide insightful analysis
Support local talent planning in partnership with Talent Acquisition which includes implementation of function-wide training, development plans, talent management support and change management initiatives
May be responsible for designing and executing various sized projects in coordination with partners inside and outside of the local facility with a goal of improving on a Best Place to Work culture
Support and assist with local implementation of Baxter-wide HR programs/policies (e.g., annual compensation review, talent management)
Maintain measurement systems and analyze data to determine the impact of HR programs and makes recommendations to management based upon analysis
Support the development, administration, maintenance of employee/workplace policies and procedures and Baxter’s code of conduct ensuring employee adherence and training
Learn, understand and apply thorough quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
Other duties as assigned with the ability to work overtime as required
What you’ll bring:
5+ years of Human Resources experience
Bachelors degree or College Diploma in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Psychology or related field
Ability to execute disciplined action and execution, drive operational excellence, promote teamwork communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Excellent attention to detail, strong technology and analytical skills
Ability to build solid relationships, passion to champion innovation with the flexibility to change
Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings
Nice to have:
CHRP or CHRL certification
Experience in a large manufacturing environment
