You are responsible for providing senior level expertise in managing a complex DevOps toolchain environment. You provide resolutions to complex technical issues, upgrading and managing toolchain components, and working with project and operations teams in managing and developing the DevOps toolchain. You work with and mentor other IT department members in the areas of toolchain usage and pipeline development, including the adoption of new tools. You support integration of DevOps toolchain and pipeline with other BC Ferries systems such as System Monitoring and APM and you work closely with IT Change Management and internal customers, in regards to the configuration, test, implementation, and post implementation reviews of system modifications and enhancements. You provide detailed technical design and input for toolchain architecture and works closely with the Enterprise Architecture Office on architectural concepts and proposals.
You have a Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. You have extensive experience building, maintaining and providing support for enterprise level DevOps toolchains. In addition, you have extensive experience in installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and integrating the following, but not limited to, DevOps toolchain components: Gitlab, Jenkins build servers as well as numerous Jenkins plugins, Nexus, SonarQube, Notary, Rundeck, Docker, Mobile build platforms and tools for Android and IOS and Elastic Stack. You have experience in Linux/Unix, Solaris, Windows and Docker based environments and scripting and automation experience.
