Justice Services Branch (JSB) is responsible for policy development, law reform and justice transformation in the areas of administrative, civil, criminal, and family law, human rights, and Indigenous justice. JSB also manages the provincial funding of legal aid, provides direct family justice services, and works with administrative tribunals, the courts, the legal professions, other ministries, and a range of community agencies and associations to increase access to justice.
The role of Director of Service Design will lead and direct the development, implementation and evaluation of major long-term projects that involves overseeing sub-projects and/or multiple delivery components. Projects are taken from original concept through final completion. This role also is substantially that of a change leader, providing direction for the effective management of portfolios and initiatives that drive and service transformation and digital service delivery. The position demands high degrees of creativity, a competent, deliberate approach to innovation, and the ability to proactively manage multiple stakeholders and complex relationships. The Director acts on behalf of the Executive Director, Project and Service Design Division as required and represents the Assistant Deputy Minister on specific issues.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until March 31, 2025. A permanent appointment may result from this temporary appointment.
Remote work is allowed. This position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia as per the Telework Agreement. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations. Travel to Victoria may be required, as and when needed.
This position is excluded from union membership.
