What you’ll be doing…
In the strategic and hands-on role of Manager, People and Culture, you will provide leadership and strategic support for all aspects of operational Human Resources functions across BC Transit. You will manage, guide and provide professional advice to the team of People and Culture Advisors while supporting and operationalizing multiple strategic people programs. Your working style enables you to foster a collaborative and effective partnership with our stakeholders, customers and clients, including our three unions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Execute People and Culture initiatives, providing exceptional internal customer support across the organization
- Support collective bargaining through proposal development, participate in collective bargaining when required and train people leaders on changes to the agreement
- Drive Human Resources functional excellence and process improvement
- Develop and manage KPIs, making data-driven decisions and developing data-driven strategies
- Support complex workplace investigations and conflict resolution strategies

- The ability to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization
We love lifelong Learners and recommend the following mix of education or certifications to be successful in conjunction with relevant experience:
- Degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Seven (7) or more years of experience in Human Resources, including a minimum of 2 years leading a team
