In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and working within the scope of Northern Health Policies and Processes, the Float – Cleaner, Food Service Worker II, Laundry Worker II, Laundry Worker III will provide relief work as needed for regular Cleaner, Food Service Worker II, Laundry Worker II, and Laundry Worker III positions.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, 07:00 to 15:30, 09:00 to 17:30 (Rotating)
Kitimat General Hospital is a 19 acute bed hospital with a full range of services. Some services provided are emergency, laboratory, diagnostic imaging, outpatient chemotherapy clinic, physiotherapy, diabetes, and chronic disease management. Regular rotation of visiting specialists in internal medicine, urology, otorhinolaryngology (ENT), dermatology, neurology, ophthalmology, and radiology.

Qualfications
- Grade 10, plus two years’ recent related experience in a commercial or industrial laundry or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills And Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Some knowledge of washing ingredients.
