This position utilizes continuous improvement principles to achieve key performance indicator objectives, update systems (JDE) with long term demand planning volumes in line with business growth expectations, and drive for cost to service efficiencies.

This position utilizes continuous improvement principles to achieve key performance indicator objectives, update Demand Solutions (DS) with long term demand planning volumes in line with business growth expectations, and drive for cost to service efficiencies.

Responsibilities
Lead and/or work with components of the Sales and Operations Planning process, which include consensus forecasting, financial planning and product life cycle management. (SIOP/IBP)
Understand the requirements of major internal and external customers and determine how BD’s supply chain offering will align with the needs and requirements of assigned BD business units.
Ensure the supply chain operates to meet the needs for all of BD’s customers on a consistent basis. Key performance measures of this include forecast accuracy, backorder, OTIF, inventory health.
Accountable for maintaining minimum on hand inventory to meet required service levels, in addition to driving reduction of excess & obsolete inventories and providing solutions to decrease write-offs.
Responsible for ongoing analysis, maintenance, and upgrades of JDE/DS. This will open opportunities for business process improvements in Source-to-Pay and Demand-to-Supply (e.g., purchasing by exception and consensus forecasting) for planning/purchasing, which the supply chain planner should initiate and sustain.
Provide recommendations for the development and implementation of supply chain network changes, which can enhance service and reduce costs. Managing the supply chain will include analysis to make recommendations for improvements to the network and sourcing strategy.
Work in a team environment to optimize the tools and processes that BD is developing in the supply chain.
Education, Experience & Skills:
Completed University Degree – Bachelor / Master (in business, science, engineering, technology or other related field) required.
APICS certification (CPIM/CSCP or equivalent) and ERP system knowledge strongly preferred.
3-5 years related work experience, ideally within a customer experience driven organization to understand the supply chain requirements.
Experience with JDE required
Good understanding of business processes including supply chain, forecasting, purchasing and inventory activities.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office software programs, with excellent skills in Excel. General knowledge of MRP planning systems or aptitude to learn technical applications quickly.
Demonstrates planning and reconciliation skills; able to recommend and implement sustainable supply chain solutions to drive operational performance improvements.
Self-motivated, strong analytical skills and detail-oriented intellectually curious and ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment and within a matrix organization.
Ability to work independently and problem solve issues from a variety of known options.
Must show initiative, with ability to anticipate needs, make recommendations, and take appropriate action.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task as well as prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
