The Field Applications Analyst II for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the installation and support of instrumentation which may include Chemistry/Immunoassay platforms, Automation and Middleware, and others as determined by customer needs. The goal is to ensure the analyzers meet Beckman Coulter stated requirements in the customer laboratory environment.
This position is part of the Canadian Field Applications Specialist Team and will be fully remote (local to Vancouver, British Columbia) . At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Canadian Field Applications Specialist Team and report to the Manager of Field Applications responsible for addressing customer questions and concerns regarding instrument operation and assay performance, in accordance with published specifications and regulatory body requirements. The individual works closely with many cross functional teams including Field Service, Sales, Customer Training and Tech Support. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Ensure customer is fully prepared for analyzer verification and meeting milestones for established implementation timeline
Assesses customer Key Operator performance and knowledge level
Completes Verification studies on instrumentation including, but not limited to instrument set-up, calibration, precision, linearity studies, and method comparisons
Provides onsite training for accurate operation of instrumentation
Handle and support customer satisfaction to sustain the growth of business
Works collaboratively across the business to build partnerships with the marketing, service, and sales teams to ensure high customer satisfaction
Drives revenue growth through determining assay growth opportunities while working with customers
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in related field with 2+ years’ experience in Laboratory / Diagnostic instrumentation or related field OR Master’s Degree in field with 0+ years’ experience in Laboratory / Diagnostic instrumentation or related field
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Advanced understanding of Diagnostics or Healthcare Industry with heavy emphasis on Laboratory Regulatory environment
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience in the Diagnostics industry
Familiarity with Standard Laboratory Practices, including Quality Control, record keeping, and regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, IQMH)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), EP Evaluator
