BET99 Looking for Senior System Administrator at Toronto, ON Full Time

We are looking for a Senior System Administrator to help us with our growing needs. A Senior System Administrator specializes in overseeing the computer system operations and corporate security for BET99. The responsibilities primarily revolve around monitoring the performance of all software and hardware, configuring systems, and making sure every technical aspect is running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems. This requires understanding a global or remote-work network infrastructure
• Helps develop, document, communicate, and enforce a network technology policy
• Responsible for the installation and configuration of new software and hardware, including the server network, devices, VPNs and firewalls
• Working with DevOps to monitor System performance, maintaining IT system operations and storage utilization
• Planning for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth
• Provides support with escalated help desk requests
• Mentors team members and educates end users
• Maintenance of Service Desk portal which includes forms, rules and user administration/audits
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
• Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
• Ability to understand integration with 3rd party platforms for security or other integrations useful for the organization

Skills and Qualifications:

• 8+ year experience with System Administration
• Advanced knowledge of networking and distributed computing environment concepts, as well as a sound understanding of the principles of routing, firewalls, and client/server applications
• Microsoft Azure Administration & Enforcing Policies experience
• Experience with the following technologies is a requirement:
• Microsoft Office 365
• Azure Active directory
• Microsoft Defender

• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
• Team management and problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, strong organization skills, and initiative
• Effective multi-tasking ability paired with a passion for the organization
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
• Experience in Security Administration is a huge plus

Nice to have:

• Experience in Security policies for large scale companies
• System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, ITIL or other network related fields are a plus
• Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing help desk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
• Good knowledge of applicable laws and data privacy policies
• Experience in integrating 3rd party security tools on Microsoft Azure
• Online Gambling industry experience / Industry sector that works with regulatory agencies
