Our Technology department is a 30-person distributed team of software, QA, and DevOps engineers delivering amazing digital products on a leading-edge technology stack.
THE ROLE
The QA Team Lead will play a primary role in planning, implementing, leading, and executing all aspects of Quality and Testing. The role requires hands-on QA expertise, ability to take initiative and develop and evolve our QA processes. The right candidate will be able to analyze the systems to determine what to test, the priority of those tests, and the best way to test.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a QA team of 5+ members
Establish, maintain, and oversee all aspects of QA processes and methodologies to ensure effectiveness and alignment to industry best practices
Conduct QA team performance review and improvement
Work across cross-functional teams and clients to create and drive the QA vision of the company
Partner with engineering teams to stay informed of new technologies being introduced and to ensure that system components are designed for testability
Test sites and applications for functional, cross-browser, performance, and usability defects
Assist with the creation of both automated and manual test cases as new features are being developed
Document issues and suggest improvements on features and processes
Identify opportunities for innovation and client value-add
Highly organized, detail-oriented, extremely responsive, and able to prioritize a large number of tasks

Must have
Min 5 years of professional web testing experience
Min 5 years of proven experience in test automation including prior hands-on quality engineering
Working experience using defect tracking systems
Passion for product quality and a positive user experience
Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Accessibility Testing
Experience with Cypress (or comparable technology) in building reusable automation scripts
Nice to have
Experience in an agency, consultancy, or startup environment
